Zee Television network’s animation arm Padmalaya Telefilms has signed partnership deals with British animation companies Mallard Media and Ealing Animation.
Padmalaya inked the biggest deal in the Indian animation sector with Italian company Mondo TV last month.
Aberdeen-based animation company Mallard Media launched “Clootie and Dumpling,” about the exploits of two highland bulls, at the Mip TV market in Cannes in March. Series is being developed by producer Richard Randolph at Ealing Animation in London with its partners Padmalaya.
Padmalaya is a subsid of Zee Network, the largest media company in India with 20 channels and access to over 60 million viewers. Zee is launching a children’s channel in June.
