TLC initializes ‘Ugliest, ‘Up’

Wilson inks to host both skeins

HOLLYWOOD — TLC has greenlit production of “America’s Ugliest,” a set of quarterly specials from Stone Stanley Entertainment, and ordered the series pilot “Moving Up.”

Doug Wilson, head designer on the cable channel’s “Trading Spaces,” has inked to host both series.

Wilson and other judges will redecorate rooms on “America’s Ugliest,” in four quarterly specs with the first slated to bow in October.

“Moving Up” will capture families moving into new residences, which they will have several weeks to decorate. Unbeknownst to them, the old tenants will be back to react to the redesigns.
