‘Survivor,’ Trump top Thursday

As repeats returned to the sked one night after the close of the February sweep, fresh installments of NBC’s “The Apprentice” and CBS’ “Survivor: All Stars” put up Thursday’s best numbers while NBC also scored with part one of Princess Diana’s “Secret Tapes,” according to preliminary nationals from Nielsen.

From 9 to 10, “The Apprentice” logged the evening’s best demo ratings (9.9/24 in adults 18-49, 20.3 million viewers overall), besting a repeat of CBS drama “CSI” (7.4/18 in adults 18-49, 22.7 million viewers overall), which remained the night’s most-watched program.

Night’s opening hour saw “Survivor” (8.7/23 in adults 18-49, 23.4 million viewers overall) top NBC’s combo of a repeat “Friends” (7.2/20 in adults 18-49, 17.1 million viewers overall) and an original “Will & Grace” (7.0/18 in adults 18-49, 15.5 million viewers overall).

From 10 to 11, “Princess Diana’s Secret Tapes” (7.2/19 in adults 18-49, 16.8 million viewers overall) defeated in key demos a repeat of CBS’ “Without a Trace” (5.3/14 in adults 18-49, 17.5 million viewers overall) and ABC newsmag “Primetime” (3.6/10 in adults 18-49, 9.2 million viewers overall).

Preliminary 18-49 averages for the night: NBC, 8.1/21; CBS, 7.2/18; ABC, 2.7/7; UPN, 1.9/5; Fox, 1.5/4; WB, 1.2/3.

In total viewers: CBS, 21.2 million; NBC, 17.8 million; ABC, 7.5 million; UPN, 4.9 million; Fox, 3.9 millionl WB, 3.1 million.
