Web is 50-50 joint venture with Mouse House

BERLIN — The Disney- and RTL-owned tyke web Super RTL continued its upward trend through 2004, clocking a record 24.1% market share among its core aud of 3- to 13-year-olds, the channel reported Wednesday.

Web, a 50-50 joint venture of the Mouse House and RTL, has long been Germany’s leading kids channel, outdistancing pubcasters ARD and ZDF’s own children’s outlet, Kinderkanal, which managed a market share of 12%.

Super RTL attributed its success to its afternoon Disney programming as well as to popular shows like “SpongeBob SquarePants,” and learning skeins “Finger Tips,” “Art Attack” and “WOW die entdeckerzone.”
