MIAMI — Spanish-lingo broadcaster Telemundo has tapped Alfredo Richard veepee of corporate communications.
Richard fills a position that has been vacant for several months. He will direct public relations, media relations, events, community relations and employee and corporate communications for the NBC-owned net. He reports to prexy-CEO Jim McNamara.
Richard is senior VP of communications at Claxson Interactive Group, a Miami- and Buenos Aires-based media company owned in part by the Cisneros Group, with interests in Latin American pay TV, Internet, radio and post-production. He joined Claxson in May 2000, prior to which he spent five years at MTV Networks, with MTV Networks Latin America in Miami and with MTV in New York.
