Localia gets hand from Peacock

Spain’s biggest local TV network, Localia TV, has inked a deal with NBC Universal for local TV broadcast rights in Spain to a raft of U library titles including “Psycho,” “Leaving Las Vegas,” “E.T.” and “Back to the Future.”

Localia TV already holds deals with Disney-BVI and Paramount plus Spanish indie distribberies Lauren Films and Filmax, and has bought packages of docus from National Geographic and the BBC.

Localia is the local TV brand of Pretesa, which is majority owned by Spanish media conglom Prisa; it groups 78 stations across Spain.
