‘GMA’ adds producer on weekends

Correspondent MacVicar ankles CNN for CBS News

ABC News on Tuesday tapped John Green to exec produce the new weekend edition of “Good Morning America,” which will bow in September.

Green, presently a senior producer at “GMA” proper, will report to ABC news senior VP Phyllis McGrady.

ABC News prexy David Westin said that Green has been an integral part of the “GMA” team over the last decade, and that he will bring invaluable experience to the weekend show, which will air Saturday and Sunday.

In another network news hire Tuesday, CBS News announced that it has lured correspondent Sheila MacVicar from CNN, where she had worked as an international correspondent since 2001.

MacVicar will remain in London, working out of CBS’ bureau. Previously, she was the London-based correspondent for ABC News from 1990 to when she joined CNN.
