Foxtel to offer TechTV cable net

San Francisco-based TechTV, a cable programmer that showcases the edgy and unexpected side of technology, has secured a distribution deal with Aussie paybox Foxtel.

TechTV will be a round-the-clock service on the paybox’s digital platform when it launches this summer. Deal was inked last week at the National Assn. of Television Program Executives confab in Las Vegas by Tech TV senior VP Peter Gochis and Foxtel head of programming Brian Walsh.

TechTV Australia will feature help and information series, docs and specials — all viewed through the prism of technology.
