SYDNEY — Australia’s leading paybox, Foxtel, has restructured its upper management as it seeks to convert all its subscribers to its digital service and become profitable by mid-2006.
Chief exec Kim Williams has reorganized the company into seven divisions, creating what he calls a “simpler, flatter structure.”
Director of digital Patrick Delany has been upped to executive director of content, product development and delivery, including responsibility for external channels, broadcast operations, product development, legal and biz affairs and commercial relationships.
Director of television Brian Walsh moves to the new position of exec director of programming, including oversight of the Foxtel owned-and-operated channels, presentation and promotion.
Peter Tonagh has been hired from the Boston Consulting Group to head the new finance, customer and operational support division.
