CBS, powered by an original “CSI: Miami,” and NBC, led by repeats of “Fear Factor” and “Las Vegas,” were in a flat-footed tie for Monday’s adults 18-49 lead, according to preliminary nationals from Nielsen. CBS ruled as usual in total viewers.

The Eye’s “CSI: Miami” put up the best numbers for any program on the night (7.1/19 in adults 18-49, 19.6 million viewers overall), easily leading the 10 o’clock hour, which included solid second-place scores for the Peacock’s reality skein “Average Joe: Adam Returns” (4.7/12 in adults 18-49, 9.6 million viewers overall).

CBS also did well with repeats from 9 to 10 of “Everybody Loves Raymond” (5.2/13 in adults 18-49, 15.6 million viewers overall) and “Two and a Half Men” (5.1/12 in adults 18-49, 15.1 million viewers overall), combining to match a repeat of NBC’s “Las Vegas” in the 18-49 demo (5.1/13, 11.9 million viewers overall).

“Fear Factor” ruled Monday’s opening hour (5.7/16 in adults 18-49, 13.8 million viewers overall) and was up nicely over a repeat in the same week a year ago.

Elsewhere, Fox again received a solid outing from “Bernie Mac” at 8 (third-place 2.8/8 in adults 18-49, 6.3 million viewers overall) but struck out at 8:30 with “Cracking Up” (1.8/5 in adults 18-49, 4.1 million viewers overall). And ABC managed only a 2.0/5 in adults 18-49 and 6.2 million viewers overall for the network preem of theatrical “The Haunting.”

In total viewers: CBS, 15.0 million; NBC, 11.8 million; ABC, 8.0 million; Fox, 5.2 million; UPN, 3.8 million; WB, 2.8 million.
