JOHANNESBURG — The 1.4 million South Africans in the U.K. will soon be able to tune into their favorite shows from home thanks to NSat, a new Sky TV satellite channel.
NSat, to be launched in August, will feature local productions, reruns of rugby matches and other local sports and even favorite adverts. Channel will be free until December, after which there will be a charge.
NSat CEO Leroy van der Westhuizen wants viewers to send requests for programs to NSat’s Web site. He says the channel will also make its own programs, including a shoot in Pretoria where all the old Springbok rugby greats are gathering.
