CBS cruises on Monday

Morning Ratings Flash - Rick Kissell

The Eye had it in a big way on Monday, riding a mostly firstrun lineup to an easy victory on the night in key demos and total viewers, according to preliminary nationals from Nielsen.

“CSI: Miami” (7.4 rating/19 share in adults 18-49, 20.3 million viewers overall) was the night’s top-rated program, but CBS also led in most categories at 9 with a repeat “Everybody Loves Raymond” (5.4/13 in adults 18-49, 16.2 million viewers overall) and at 9:30 with an original “Two and a Half Men” (5.8/14 in adults 18-49, 16.4 million viewers overall).

ABC will finish second for the night, although its preliminary numbers were sketchy due to live “Monday Night Football.” Game, which pitted the Kansas City Chiefs against the Tennessee Titans, netted a nothing-special 10.3 household rating/16 share in Nielsen’s metered-market overnights.

Fox moved up to third with solid results from “Trading Spouses” (3.5/9 in adults 18-49, 8.1 million viewers overall) and the penultimate episode of “The Swan 2” (3.4/8 in adults 18-49, 7.5 million viewers overall), while NBC’s all-repeat lineup was paced by a narrow demo victory at 8 for “Fear Factor” (3.8/10 in adults 18-49, 9.1 million viewers overall).

Preliminary 18-49 averages for the night: CBS, 5.5/14; ABC, 4.3/11; Fox, 3.4/9; NBC, 3.0/8; UPN, 1.3/3; WB, 1.1/3.

In total viewers: CBS, 15.7 million; ABC, 11.6 million; Fox, 7.8 million; NBC, 7.4 million; WB, 3.2 million; UPN, 3.1 million.
