Breakthrough Animation, the new animation production, marketing and distribution division of Breakthrough Films & Television, has sold its comedy-adventure animation series “Atomic Betty” to the Cartoon Network in the U.S.

It has already sold to the Cartoon Network in the U.K., Australia, Italy, South-East Asia, Scandinavia and Eastern Europe, as well as Teletoon in Canada and France, M6 in France, and ABC in Australia. The series will air in the U.S. and Canada in September.

The toon is produced by Toronto-based Breakthrough Animation and Atomic Cartoons of Vancouver, with Tele-Images Kids from France.

It follows the adventures of Betty, a little girl who zips across the galaxy on daring and valiant missions.
