HOLLYWOOD — After the Dec. 2 Variety screening of “Imaginary Heroes,” Sigourney Weaver discussed the merits of working on independent pictures, expressing no qualms about signing onto the indie feature directed by 23-year-old first-time helmer Dan Harris.
“I think it’s great to work far away from Hollywood for certain types of things,” Weaver said. “Indie film is where the biggest risks are being taken.”
“They worked for peanuts,” said Harris.
“I love peanuts!” Weaver responded.
Pic’s Emile Hirsch and Kip Pardue were also present at the ArcLight Q&A, moderated by Pete Hammond.
