Nosotros rallies round founder

Golden Eagles were aplenty in BevHills

HOLLYWOOD — A packed crowd at the 34th Nosotros Golden Eagle Awards rose in thunderous applause to the surprise appearance of Nosotros founder Ricardo Montalban last week at the BevHilton. It was never certain if the 84-year-old wheelchair-bound thesp would muster the strength to show up. Montalban founded Nosotros, the oldest Latin Entertainment Advocacy Group, more than three decades ago. Vet thesp Hector Elizondo picked up the Ricardo Montalban Life Achievement Award while Eva Longoria, “Six Feet Under’s” Freddy Rodriguez, “CSI: Miami’s” Adam Rodriguez and Wilmer Valderrama nabbed acting awards.
