Clinton keynote speaker at benefit

A fund-raiser for and Voices for Working Families was held at the Apollo Theater in Gotham last week. Event featured music by the Black Eyed Peas and John Mellencamp.

Taking a break from his forthcoming memoirs, former president Bill Clinton said he got “a furlough from writer’s jail” to attend as the keynote speaker. “I’ve spent the last three months trying to tell the story of my life. It was hard enough to live it.”
