Celebs reach out and offer a helping hand

Celebs dished out yams and pie at Thanksgiving feeds for the needy while compatriots paraded through the streets over the long holiday weekend.

Disney’s Dick Cook and Minnie assisted the Salvation Army at its Thanksgiving eve dinner at the Convention Center Wednesday, which the Mouse House sponsored this year. Kevin James and “King of Queens” co-star Leah Remini passed out pie to the crowd. Over at the L.A. Mission that day, Henry Winkler, Jennifer Love Hewitt and Melissa Joan Hart made sure attendees got their fair share of turkey and fixings.

Across the country, Mariah Carey hosted the 6th annual Thanksgiving dinner at True Worship Church in Gotham Wednesday and Stephen Baldwin served it up at the New York City Rescue Mission on Tuesday.

SpongeBob SquarePants levitated over the Macy’s Thanksgiving parade for the first time this year, joined by Charlie Brown and Pikachu in balloon form and Broadway thesps from “Bombay Dreams” and “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang” down on the ground.

SpongeBob also tooled over to the annual Hollywood Christmas Parade Sunday, where he was joined by Brad Garrett, “That ’70s Show’s” Debra Jo Rupp, Marion Ross and George Lopez.
