Crystals refract history via movies

Proud pop Billy beams at daughter's side

HOLLYWOOD – A beaming Billy Crystal stood by daughter Lindsay‘s side at the July 20 preem of her helming debut, “My Uncle Berns,” at the Museum of Tolerance.

“I love this movie,” said the proud pop, who with wife Janice exec produced the HBO docu about his 89-year-old uncle, Bernhardt Crystal.

Pic reps the latest collaboration between father and daughter, who first teamed up on “City Slickers,” where Lindsay played — what else? — her father’s daughter.

“That was 13 years ago,” Lindsay Crystal said. “I look at that movie now, and it’s like puberty caught on film.”

Also on hand: Richard Lewis and Jay Leno, whose first guest on “The Tonight Show,” in 1992, was Billy Crystal.
