Rachael Leigh Cook

Rachael Leigh Cook has secured a role in TNT’s epic 12-hour limited series “Into the West,” from executive producer Steven Spielberg and DreamWorks TV.

Keri Russell, Josh Brolin, Skeet Ulrich and Matthew Settle are among the thesps cast in the project that tells the story of the opening of the American West in the 19th century, through the eyes of two multigenerational families, one of white settlers and one of Native Americans.

Production on “West,” began this summer for a summer 2005 premiere.

Cook, whose credits include “Stateside,” “She’s All That” and “Josie and the Pussycats,” recently wrapped romantic comedy “My First Wedding.”
