Production manager Peter A. Runfolo died April 17 of heart failure in New Jersey. He was 65.
Runfolo was the first film commissioner for New Jersey and was awarded the DGA Frank Capra award for assistant directors and production managers in 1994.
After starting his career as a schoolteacher, Runfolo worked for Oaktree Enterprises, providing production services for films such as “The Godfather” and “Carnal Knowledge.” He worked as a production manager on films including “Superman,” “Grace Quigley,” “Bonfire of the Vanities” and “Fast Forward.”
He also worked on TV shows including “Cagney and Lacey,” “Ryan’s Hope” and “Hart to Hart” and conducted and directed musical theater perfomances.
He is survived by his wife Rose, two daughters, two sisters and two grandchildren.
