Ken Kwapis

“Malcolm in the Middle” helmer Ken Kwapis has inked with United Talent Agency.

Kwapis, who also produces the Fox laffer, received a 2001 Emmy nomination for comedy series. He has also helmed pilots and episodes of “The Bernie Mac Show,” “The Larry Sanders Show” and “Watching Ellie.”

Feature directing credits include “Dunston Checks In,” “He Said, She Said” and “The Beautician and the Beast.”

Kwapis recently wrapped the pilot of NBC’s “The Office: An American Workplace,” based on the hit Brit series, and Alcon-Warner Bros. coming-of-age drama “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.”
