Former 20th Century Fox veep

Former 20th Century Fox V.P. Harold Mars died November 1 of pneumonia in Los Angeles. He was 78.

Born in Brooklyn, Mars started in the film business with MGM Intl. in 1946 and moved to Fox in 1964. He served as director of operations for Latin America and in 1978 became a V.P. working with other territories worldwide. He moved to California in 1972 when Fox moved the home office to Los Angeles.

He is survived by his wife Marilyn, three daughters and seven grandchildren.
