Award will be presented at Creative Arts Emmy Awards
Viacom Inc. will receive the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences’ Governors Award in recognition of its public service campaigns “Let’s Just Play” (Nickelodeon), “Choose or Lose” (MTV) and “Know HIV/AIDS” (Viacomwide).
The award, which singles out individual or corporate achievements that are especially topical or immediate, will be presented at the 2004 Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards, to be held Sept. 12 at the Shrine Auditorium.
The two-hour telecast will be produced for the seventh year in a row by the team of scribe-helmer-editor Michael Hoey, comedy helmer John Moffit and Spike Jones Jr. Emmys will be handed out in more than 70 categories, including outstanding guest actor/actress in a drama series, outstanding guest actor/actress in a comedy series and outstanding reality series. Engineering Awards and Interactive Media Awards will also be presented.
