Estes surfs to 'Oahu,' Carroll gets slick in 'Plan B'

Rob Estes (“Melrose Place”) rounds out the cast of Fox’s drama pilot “Oahu,” while Rocky Carroll (“The Agency”) will star opposite Caroline Rhea in ABC’s laffer “Plan B,” as castings continued Wednesday.

Estes will star in “Oahu” as Vincent Boyd, managing partner of an island hotel. Twentieth Century Fox TV drama revolves around the employees and guests at a luxury inn.

Estes’ other credits include a guest stint on “Gilmore Girls” and a starring role on “Silk Stalkings.”

Carroll will play Steve, a slick employee at the Rhea character’s marketing firm. “Plan B,” from Universal TV, stars Rhea as a thirtysomething woman who juggles her personal and professional lives.

Carroll’s TV credits also include “Welcome to New York” and “Roc”; he received a Tony nom for his performance in “The Piano Lesson.” Also joining the cast of “Plan B” are Kali Rocha (“Buffy the Vampire Slayer”), who plays Rhea’s younger sister, Amy. Sarah Shahi (“Win a Date With Tad Hamilton!”) has been cast as Bronwyn, Rhea’s new assistant.

Other castings included the following:

  • Randall Park (“Alias”) has joined the cast of the Fox sitcom “Lucky Us.” Show, from 20th Century Fox TV and Original TV, revolves around a couple who go out on a blind date and wind up with a kid. Chyler Leigh stars; network and studio are still scouting for the male romantic lead.

  • T.R. Knight (“Frasier”) has been cast as George on the untitled Shonda Rhimes pilot at ABC; drama, from Touchstone, focuses on residents in a San Francisco-based surgical program.

  • Jamie Denton (“Threat Matrix”) has joined the cast of ABC’s “Desperate Housewives” as Mike Delfino, while Ricardo Chavira (“Joan of Arcadia”) will play Carlos Solis. Hourlong sudser, from Touchstone, also stars Teri Hatcher, Felicity Huffman and Eva Longoria.

  • April Matson (“American Dreams”) has joined the untitled Mark Reisman sitcom at Fox. Matson will play one of the kids in the 20th Century Fox/Imagine laffer, which follows the lives of teenage quintuplets.
