Exec to deal with sponsorship, integrated marketing
VH1 has upped marketing veep Mark McIntire to senior VP.
Exec has been named senior vice prexy of sponsorship, development and integrated marketing. He will head up the creation and execution of all ad-driven marketing initiatives and sponsorship opportunities for VH1, the music cabler’s digital tiers and its Web site.
McIntire was most recently group VP of marketing, spearheading the Saks Fifth Avenue fund-raising campaign “Gifts That Give Back” for VH1’s Save the Music Foundation. He joined the cabler in 1996 as VP of ad sales marketing.
McIntire was marketing director at FX during the channel’s launch and served as VP of marketing for both the Pacific Design Center and New York Design Center. Previously, he held positions at William B. John and Partners Advertising Agency, Southwest Publishing Corp./Texas Home Magazines and the Dallas Morning News.
“Mark already creates innovative initiatives that fulfill VH1 ad sales clients’ needs and promote the VH1 brand and its programming,” unit exec VP John Shea said. “His expertise and creativity will be invaluable as we develop new and unique concepts for our partners across all VH1 platforms.”
