Underwater helmer pacts to help foreign film
HOLLYWOOD — Global Production Network (GPN) has inked an exclusive representation deal with one of South America’s leading film production companies, BenitoCine, in a bid to facilitate film and ad production worldwide.
Underwater film helmer/GPN prexy Harry Tracosas founded L.A.-based GPN in March after identifying a growing need to help foreign and domestic companies connect with reliable service providers around the world. “As the world increasingly becomes the ‘backlot’ for film and spot producers, finding the perfect foreign location and local talent for each shoot has become a logistical boondoggle,” Tracosas said.
BenitoCine and GPN have produced projects for clients including Moxie Pictures/McDonald’s, Independent Media/PBS and Reactor Films/Pizza Hut.
BenitoCine, based in Santiago, Chile, with a sister office in Buenos Aires, is run by owner-CEO Georgos Nicolaides. Company is fully staffed in both countries and services clients with executive producers Veronica Figueroa and Felipe Nogueira.
Tracosas is best known for his underwater footage work from his Walk on Water Prods.
