Goldman feels the Power

Thompson, Cannon among clients making the move

Power Entertainment is boosting its management ranks, adding former Tollin/Robbins manager Michael Goldman.

Goldman will serve as a manager and producer for the comedy-heavy company. He’ll work with Power partners David Goldman (no relation) and Michael Green.

Among the clients making the move to Power with Goldman: thesps Kenan Thompson (“Fat Albert,” “SNL”) and Nick Cannon (“Drumline”), as well as scribe/exec producer Dan Schneider (“What I Like About You”).

Goldman founded the Tollin/Robbins management division in 1997; he left last year to produce the Nick Cannon feature “The Underclassman” for Miramax.

David Goldman cited Michael Goldman’s “eye for talent and ability to see ideas through to fruition,” as well as his client relationships, as reasons for the new hire.

As a producer, Goldman’s credits include U’s “Big Fat Liar” and Revolution’s upcoming Nick Cannon/Lindsey Lohan feature. He’s also exec producer on MTV’s upcoming skein “Wild’n Out” (Daily Variety, Nov. 8).

Power — whose client lists include Seth Meyers, Craig Kilborn, Brad Renfro and Natasha Lyonne — recently inked a production deal with Touchstone Television.
