Pic to be broadcast on same night as Germany
BERLIN — Austrian pubcaster ORF has become the latest European channel to pick up Michael Moore’s “Fahrenheit 9/11” for pre-U.S. election broadcast.
ORF will air the Bush-bashing documentary on the eve of the presidential election Nov. 1, the same night it will air in Germany on commercial web ProSieben.
Pic will be followed by a special report on political talkshow “Offen gesagt” (Frankly Speaking) about the film and on the most highly anticipated U.S. election in decades.
ORF will lead up to “Fahrenheit” with other high-profile docs about the U.S., including Andrew Kolker and Louis Alvarez’s “People Like Us: Social Class in America,” which airs today, followed by “Outfoxed: Rupert Murdoch’s War on Journalism” on Sunday.
