Wurtzel jumps on EIC board

Org creates executive committee for H'wood, D.C.

HOLLYWOOD — The Entertainment Industries Council has tapped Alan Wurtzel, NBC’s prexy of research and media development, to join its board of directors.

The nonprofit org, which focuses on how health and social issues are depicted in entertainment, also has created an executive committee to oversee its work with Hollywood and lawmakers in Washington, D.C.

The new panel members are Herman Rush, chairman of Rush Associates, who will serve as chairman; Brian Dyak, EIC president and chairman, who will serve as secretary; David Goldsmith, president of The Goldsmith Co., as treasurer; William Utz, principal of Steele and Utz, as co-chairman, public policy; and actress Michele Lee as co-chairman, special projects.
