The WB and Kmart Thursday announced a joint marketing partnership to promote the Frog’s fall lineup of shows and Kmart’s back-to-school clothing collections.
Stars from WB returning shows “7th Heaven,” “One Tree Hill” and “Reba,” along with topliners from new shows “Summerland” and “Blue Collar TV,” will model Kmart clothing for its back-to-school advertising and marketing campaign. The ads will promote the WB fall shows as well as the clothing. In addition, Kmart clothing will be worn by actors on some episodes of the programs involved.
Kmart and the WB will also sponsor a “Look the Part, Get the Part” contest at all 1,500 Kmart stores this summer. Contestants will submit pictures of themselves wearing Kmart brand clothing and could win a walk-on part on a WB show.
Joint marketing campaign is expected to start about July 25 and run through Sept. 16.
