LAS VEGAS — Las Vegas, surely the most diva-like of American cities (it certainly has the over-the-top part down pat) played host to Sunday’s VH1 Divas concert.
MTV/VH1 Entertainment prexy Brian Graden said the annual Save the Music fund-raiser is the night his network “hits the high notes.”
Graden noted the show is not highly formatted. “All we do is give them a platform to sing their asses off.”
Seventeen-year-old diva-in-the-making Joss Stone appreciated the chance to do just that.
“Hey, I got to sing with Gladys Knight and Debbie Harry,” Stone said. “I don’t get to do that every day.”
