Animation vets Jay Fukuto and Ellen Levy-Sarnoff will come on board to launch MGA Entertainment Films, a unit of the eponymous consumer products company.
The newly created division will focus on TV series development of MGA’s intellectual properties, including Bratz and Alien Racers.
Fukuto, who was most recently VP of creative affairs for Walt Disney Television Animation, joins as VP of MGA Entertainment Films; Levy-Sarnoff, who worked at DIC and Saban, joins as senior director of creative for Bratz Entertainment.
MGA manufactures products ranging from fashion and mini dolls to radio-controlled vehicles. The Bratz brand of fashion dolls was introduced in June 2001 and has since become a leading toy line and girls lifestyle brand.
