After five years at Sundance Channel, senior VP of film programming Paola Freccero is ankling at the end of the year to launch an independent consulting company.

“Although I both respect and admire Paola’s desire to do something different at this relatively early stage of her life and career,” net prexy-CEO Larry Aidem said, “the good news is that we will continue to benefit from Paola’s film programming acumen, deep Rolodex and first-rate creative instincts.”
Freccero, who has served as a senior veep for the past three years, joined the network in 1999 as a publicity consultant, later rising to VP of international. Before Sundance, she was artistic director at the Nortel Palm Springs Film Festival and the Palm Springs Short Film Festival. She also served as a publicist for such features as “The Usual Suspects” and “Anne Frank Remembered,” as well as for ITVS, HBO and Turner Broadcasting.
