Net aims to expand revenue from global ancillary rights
Showtime Networks has named Tony Lynn senior VP of program distribution — a newly created position.In an attempt to expand net’s revenue from the global exploitation of ancillary rights, Lynn will oversee the licensing and sale of Showtime’s original film and television programming to the worldwide television and video/DVD markets. Exec has been involved in pay television and program distribution for nearly 30 years. From 1992-2000, Lynn was prexy of Playboy Entertainment. He spent five years at MGM, concluding his tenure there as president of Worldwide Television Distribution. Lynn has also held positions at HBO and Columbia Pictures.
