Upfront week ends with celebratory parties
NEW YORK — That thud you heard in New York came from network execs, agents, stars and media buyers, collapsing after a week of almost non-stop parties celebrating this year’s upfront week.
UTA and Amazon.com kicked off the week Sunday night at the new Time Warner Center’s Stone Rose; among attendees were Leslie Moonves, Dick Wolf, Matt LeBlanc, Steve McPherson and Amanda Bynes.
Moonves also headed over to the Four Seasons restaurant on Monday night, where William Morris held its annual soiree; also seen were Jeff Zucker, David Nevins, Mark Burnett and “Apprentice” winner Bill Rancic. Also partying hard was Gersh, throwing its affair on Tuesday at hotspot Quo.
On the network side, ABC welcomed talent and execs (James Spader, Mark Pedowitz) at Cipriani; the casts and staff of the WB (Hilarie Burton, Jordan Levin) mingled with ad execs at Chelsea Piers. CBS returned to Tavern on the Green, where Nancy Tellem and “Survivor” cast members such as Rupert Boneham partook in shrimp and cocktails, while Wolf, Kevin Reilly and others toasted the Peacock at Rockefeller Center. Fox wound up the festivities at the Central Park Boathouse, where revelers such as Gail Berman celebrated the end of the week.
