Mena Suvari has come aboard an untitled Warner Bros. romantic comedy directed by Ted Griffin.
Jennifer Aniston, Shirley MacLaine and Mark Ruffalo topline the film, which concerns a woman (Aniston) who vows to discover the identity of her father after she finds out that her grandmother (MacLaine) may have been the basis for the character of predatory seductress Mrs. Robinson in seminal ’60s film “The Graduate.”
Suvari has landed the role of Annie, Aniston’s character’s younger sister, who is getting married. Her wedding brings all the characters together.
Griffin penned the WB-Village Roadshow Pictures production, to be produced by Steven Soderbergh, George Clooney and Paula Weinstein. Bruce Berman and Mike Rachmil are the exec producers.
A production start date has yet to be locked, but Warners anticipates a late-summer start.
Suvari, who is in the midst of a “Six Feet Under” arc, next stars in the ensemble pic “Beauty Shop” and “Trauma.”
