HOLLYWOOD — Reality shingle 44 Blue Productions has signed former “Entertainment Tonight” producer Glenn Meehan to an exclusive overall development deal.
Under terms of the pact, Meehan, whose credits include the pilots for Telepicture Prods.’ “The Sharon Osbourne Show” and Universal’s “The Jennifer Lopez Show,” will create original series for network, syndication and cable.
He was the co-creator and co-exec producer of “Hot Ticket” and has worked on the series “Scoop,” “Rivera Live,” “The Charles Grodin Show,” “America After Hours” and “John and Leeza.” He was also instrumental in launching MSNBC (then known as America’s Talking).
“Glenn brings two great skills to our company: On the development side, he brings great instincts for stories and shows. On the production side, he brings a reputation as one of the best reality producers in the business today,” said 44 Blue prexy Rasha Drachkovitch.
Meehan most recently co-created and co-produced the upcoming series “American Families” for Discovery Channel.
44 Blue produces A&E’s “Find & Design” and upcoming Vegas-set reality show “Caesars 24/7.” Shingle also produces Lifetime’s “What Should You Do?” and PBS’ “A Place of Our Own” and “Los Ninos en Su Casa.”
