Script supervisor

Script supervisor Marvin Weldon died of heart failure January 2 in the Los Angeles area. He was 87.

Weldon started in the Paramount mailroom and became a script supervisor and dialogue coach on dozens of classic films for Paramount and Universal. His credits span five decades, with films including “Lost Weekend,” “Sabrina,” “Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea,” “Elmer Gantry,” “White Christmas,” “True Grit” and “Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice.”

He is survived by his wife Sue and a daughter.
