Lowery goes Underground

Exec signs up after leaving UTA

William Lowery has joined Underground Films & Management as a creative exec and literary manager.

Lowery will seek out projects and clients for the two sides of the company.

He joins Underground from United Talent Agency, where he served as an assistant to chair-CEO Jim Berkus since 2002, assisting closely with clients including Harrison Ford, Owen Wilson, the Coen brothers and Wes Anderson.

Before that, Lowery was an assistant at the William Morris Agency.

In addition to its growing stable of mostly writing clients, Underground, founded by partners Nick Osborne and Trevor Engelson, has set up several films around town, including “Venus Kincaid” at Fox 2000, “Destination Unknown” at Phoenix Pictures, “Zoom’s Academy” at Revolution, “Soccer Mom” at New Line and “Flower Girl” at Warner Bros.
