Actress looking to pitch, star in semi-comic docusoap
Former “Moesha” thesp Shar Jackson is looking to take her life back from the tabloids — and turn it into a reality show.
Jackson has been a regular on the US Weekly/Star/In Touch circuit lately because the father of her newborn baby is Kevin Federline, aka the soon-to-be Mr. Britney Spears. Federline caught grief from the tabs for allegedly dumping a pregnant Jackson in order to get with Britney.
Now, Jackson is teaming up with a trio of producers to pitch a “Nick & Jessica”-type reality skein — minus the Nick. Show would be a half-hour, semi-comic docusoap following Jackson as she works to get back into music and acting while raising her newborn son and the 2-year-old daughter she had with Federline.
“We want the show to (explore) what it’s like to be a young woman with children in Hollywood,” said Rick Telles (“Next Action Star”), one of the show’s exec producers. “An aspect of the show will be her tabloid life, but there’s also a life outside of that.”
Telles will exec produce along with Lizza Morales and Marcela Isaza; Morales and Isaza have worked with Jackson before in various capacities, with Morales interviewing Jackson for “Access Hollywood” a few weeks ago.
Morales said Jackson “is not bitter” about her breakup with Federline and is hoping the dancer will appear on her would-be reality skein. “Kevin was there for the delivery, and he’s going to be a part of the baby’s life,” Morales said.
