'Crossing Jordan,' 'SVU' repeats to fill Monday slot
NBC is temporarily shuttering “The Restaurant.”
Three episodes into its second season, Peacock has pulled the high-profile reality skein for the remainder of the May sweeps. Repeats of “Crossing Jordan” and “Law & Order: SVU” will fill the 10 p.m. Monday slot.
Skein, from exec producers Ben Silverman and Mark Burnett, had been losing a chunk of its “Las Vegas” lead-in, and NBC brass may want to maximize ratings in the all-important 10 p.m. timeslot, which serves as a lead-in to local news.
“The Restaurant” is expected to return later this month, with all of its remaining episodes airing. Skein will then get a repeat run on Bravo.
In other NBC reality news, net is bringing back producer Dick Wolf’s unscripted hour “Crime and Punishment” — sort of. Episodes of the skein left over from last summer’s run — which was cut short — will return to the NBC lineup June 12 at 10 p.m.
