HOLLYWOOD — A playmate wearing nothing but a painted-on yellow jumpsuit stood in for Uma Thurman at Monday night’s DVD bash for “Kill Bill Vol. 1” at Hef’s house.
Playboy founder Hugh Hefner said the Bride might make a good playmate, noting, “She’s pretty sharp with a sword.”
Partygoers buzzed about the DVD release of both installments, with helmer Quentin Tarantino telling one fan there would eventually be a cut combining both volumes. But he warned, “I don’t do director’s cuts. When you see my film in a theater, that’s the director’s cut.”
He then confessed a bit of homevid heresy: “DVD is great,” he said. “But ya know, I still love my laserdiscs.”
