Will work closely with LA-based book agent Schiffman

HOLLYWOOD — The Gersh Agency has expanded its book department to the East Coast, hiring former Mostow/Lieberman VP Sarah Self as a book agent in its New York office.

Self will work closely with Gersh’s L.A.-based book agent Amy Schiffman.

In addition to repping film and TV rights to books and literary material, Self will handle screenwriters and directors.

She was most recently VP of development and production at Universal-based Mostow/Lieberman. Prior to that, she served as the book department coordinator at CAA.

Self started her career in 1997 at CAA as assistant to the head of its book department, Bob Bookman.
