Reality skein about mom-daughter duo preems in Feb.
E! has greenlit “Gastineau Girls,” a relationship reality series that puts a real-life spin on WB’s “Gilmore Girls” and HBO’s “Sex and the City.”
Cabler has ordered 10 episodes of the project, which follows real-life mother-daughter team Lisa and Brittny Gastineau — ex-wife and daughter, respectively, of Jets football player Mark Gastineau — as they search for true love across the country. Show premieres Feb. 1.
E! Networks senior VP of programming development Lisa Berger said the show was part of the cabler’s “new breed of programming that combines entertainment, reality and humor.”
“Gastineau Girls” will trail the Gotham gals as they hit hot spots including Palm Beach, Chicago, Las Vegas, Aspen and Club Med on their quest for the perfect pair of men.
True Entertainment produces the series. Steven Weinstock and Glenda Hersh are exec producers.
