Toronto co. will represent more than half of local biz

TORONTO — Powerhouse Casting and Brian Levy Casting are merging to form Canada’s largest casting company, to retain the Powerhouse name.

Toronto-based company will represent more than half of the local business in TV, film, commercial, musicvideo and multimedia production. The companies also have long experience working with the U.S. studios.

Kim Everest will continue as president, and Brian Levy will be executive veepee of casting.

“Consistency is the key to success in the casting business,” said Everest. “With over 40 years of experience between the two of us, we believe our clientele will benefit from the depth and diversity of our backgrounds.”

Powerhouse Casting, which has been in business for 13 years, also has an office in Vancouver.
