Sony/ATV taps senior veep

Music pub finds a new voice

HOLLYWOOD — Becky Mancuso-Winding has been named senior VP of film, television and advertising music at Sony/ATV Music Publishing.

She will oversee the marketing to the pic, TV and ad industries, developing and implementing strategic initiatives to leverage Sony/ATV’s catalog. Based in Santa Monica, she will report to Danny Strick, prexy, Sony/ATV Music Publishing.

Most recently, Mancuso-Winding worked with composer Hans Zimmer at Remote Control Production. As a music supervisor and producer of soundtracks, her credits include “Urban Cowboy,” “Footloose” and “Rush.” She is completing the music supervision on the Fox feature “Robots.”

From 1991 to 2002, Mancuso-Winding was exec veep at Sony Wonder, which produced children’s and family entertainment audio, video and film titles. She began her career as an A&R exec at Columbia and Epic Records.

“Becky’s proven ability as a music supervisor and A&R executive gives her a unique vantage point to head up this newly structured unit,” Strick said.

A worldwide music publishing joint venture between Sony and Michael Jackson, Sony/ATV owns or administers copyrights and catalogs of the Beatles, Felice and Boudleaux Bryant, Leonard Cohen, Miles Davis, Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, Roy Orbison, Willie Nelson, Hank Williams and Brooks & Dunn, among others.
