Bomb kills two at Sri Lanka concert

World Brief

Sri Lankan Police are investigating a grenade attack that killed two people and injured 19 in the audience at Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan’s Temptations 2004 World Tour perf in Colombo, Sri Lanka, on Saturday.

Khan and co-stars Saif Ali Khan, Preity Zinta, Rani Mukherjee and Priyanka Chopra escaped unhurt.

The perf had been dogged with controversy. Sri Lankan Buddhist monks staged a protest demanding that the perf be postponed as it clashed with the first anniversary of the death of a popular monk, Gangodawila Soma.
