Longtime music mogul Irving Azoff and entertainment exec Robert Geddes have established a partnership with JHW Greentree Capital to explore, initiate and develop entertainment marketing and corporate communications opportunities.
Company’s first purchase is TBA Entertainment, which produces live events that create brand-marketing experiences for global corporations. Events include corporate business meetings, product launches, sponsored music tours and entertainment programming for fairs.
TBA has regional offices in Los Angeles, Nashville, Atlanta, Chicago, Salt Lake City and San Diego. Current TBA chairman Jock Weaver will serve in a consulting capacity until the merger is completed.
Geddes will assume the post of CEO of TBA. Azoff and Mike Stone, managing partner of JHW Greentree and its parent Whitney & Co., will assume co-chairman posts.
The transaction is expected to close during the second quarter of 2004 subject to shareholder approval.
