Road grosses

NEW YORK — Road grosses dove 9.1% to $14,621,580 during Week 49 (April 26-May 2).

“The Lion King” in Detroit continued to steamroll the competition, pulling in $1,403,561, while “Movin’ Out” continued its triumphant gallop through the heartland, taking $1,092,049 in St. Louis.

Other big earners included “The Producers” in Tampa ($1,253,126) and “The Lion King” in San Francisco ($1,093,749).
