First Stage judges set

'Tree Man', 'Verbatim', 'Dualities' finalists

Scribes David Rambo and Judi Ann Mason are among judges for First Stage Theater’s one-act play contest, with the winner to be chosen Saturday.

The three finalists are “Tree Man” by Steven Schutzman; “Verbatim” by Albi Gorn; and “Dualities” by Sara Cody.

Other judges are KABC TV’s George Pennacchio, Written By editor Richard Stayton, Time mag scribe Desa Philadelphia, L.A. Weekly’s Steven Leigh Morris, UCLA prof Gary Gardner and playwright Mark Lee.

Event is at 8 p.m. Saturday at First Stage, 6817 Franklin Ave., Hollywood. Tickets are $7; call (323) 850-6271 for reservations.
